Chicago law firm specializing in family law has an opportunity for a mid-level or senior associate attorney to join their awesome team. Job Responsibilities: •Assist supervising attorney in management of family law cases •Prepare letters, pleadings, declarations, lodgments, attachments to subpoenas, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs •Propound and respond to discovery, prepare meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel •Telephone and email contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the court •Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits •Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trial •Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums Qualifications • Must be admitted to and in good standing with the Illinois bar •Two to ten plus years of family law experience desired •A fast learner with strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills •Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills •Highly motivated professional who can take initiative and work well within a team Why should you apply or reach out to learn more? •Competitive compensation with a rewarding bonus structure •Low billables •relaxed firm •Medical paid in full, Dental, Vision, 401K
