General Manager position available in Baltimore, MD | transportation logistics | $120K-$130K

The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing multi-site profitability and quality within established sub-regions. Oversight and management of multiple sites across various states providing transportation, logistics, inventory control, internal financial reporting, performance and productivity for all lines of business. The Director of Operations will need to travel at least 60% of the time within the region. This is a DIRECT HIRE position and is available IMMEDIATELY!!!! Some of the responsibilities include: • Inventory management • Route planning and optimization • Fleet management • Employee development and performance • P&L management QUALIFICATIONS: • Position requires individual to have a minimum of 7+ years in the transportation &/or logistics industry with 5 years in a management role • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred • Must be able to travel approximately 60% of the time within the Mid-Atlantic region • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office for Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required • Individual must have excellent communication & interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel • Must be multi-tasked oriented, organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
