The Route Production Supervisor will provide first line supervision and leadership of a team of transportation employees by coaching, engaging and holding employees accountable for assigned activities. This is a DIRECT HIRE position and is available IMMEDIATELY!!! This is a 2nd shift position – Monday-Friday 4pm-1am RESPONSIBILTIES: • Supervise transportation employees to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures • Coordinate and schedule all routes to meet all customer requirements and assist with routes and re-routes when necessary • Assign vehicles to designate routes and maintain contact with vehicle services department • Consult with and accept direction from the Manager on a daily basis • Complete daily billing and route productivity reports • Assist with the preparation of payroll, incentives, worker’s comp and accident reports • Order uniforms and supplies • Maintain branch security during opening, closing and hours of operation • Secure inventories by executing controls and ensuring strict compliance with security procedures • Assist with processing and training of new employees • Monitor branch cleanliness • Report violations of company rules and policies/procedures • Maintain a high level of appearance and professional attitude when dealing with subordinates and customers • Travel for temporary duties at other locations if necessary • Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in the transportation or related logistics field • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred • Must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record • May be required to obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License with no air-brake restrictions • Proven track record of engaging workgroups to accomplish assigned tasks through clear oral and written instructions • Must be able to clearly communicate effectively, both orally and in written documents, with customers, colleagues and supervisors in person and by radio or telephone
